The hotel is exquisite and well maintained, and it feels like home.
The environment is great, and the old Shanghai architectural style is also very good for taking photos.
The restaurant dishes are great~
Before leaving the hotel, thank the staff for helping me book a car, and especially thank Krystal for helping me express the items that were left in the room.

The Blossom Manoir · Orient Treasury, located in the heart of Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai, is a "century-old modern Republican-era mansion" that serves as a hidden gem in the bustling city. This impeccably preserved historical architecture, originally designed by a British architect, blends Western elements with distinctive Shanghai-style aesthetics. Once the private residence of Pudong's "wealthiest tycoon," it was completed in the early 1930s after years of construction and witnessed Shanghai's golden era of "comprador culture" and its reputation as the "Oriental Paris" during the 1930s-1940s.
The hotel features a rare Shanghai-inspired courtyard structure comprising a main building, annex, central courtyard, and surrounding verandas. Its 17 guest rooms, distributed across the main and annex buildings, exude the luxurious ambiance of an aristocratic estate while showcasing the eclectic elegance of Shanghai's East-meets-West heritage.
Unique amenities include a literary lounge, VIP reception hall, tea house, Taizhou-style private dining, and a bespoke bar. All displayed artworks and paintings are original pieces by renowned contemporary artists. Complemented by regular "Treasury Art Exhibitions," the property offers guests not just accommodation but an immersive artistic experience.
Amidst the vibrancy of Shanghai's waterfront, this landmark invites travelers to witness the century-old transformations and modern grandeur of the "City of Eternal Blossoms."

Blossom Manoir Lujiazui... it definitely left a lasting impression on me during my stay. Stepping into that courtyard felt like stepping back in time, a little oasis tucked away amidst the modern buzz of Lujiazui. The architecture, that oriental feel with the connecting corridors, was so different from the usual towering hotels you find in that area – it had a real character to it.
The welcome I received was genuinely warm. There was someone right there to help with my bag, and the check-in process was smooth, accompanied by a much-appreciated bottle of home-brew tea. It was a lovely touch that made me feel instantly at ease. And the old house tour? Definitely take them up on that if you have the time! It really brought the history of the place to life and gave context to the unique design.
My room was a comfortable haven. I remember being pleasantly surprised by the selection in the mini-bar – it went beyond the usual standard offerings. And yes, the bed was incredibly comfortable; I slept like a log after a long day of exploring Shanghai, probably with the help of ”Goodnight” soup treat offered for turndown service.
I did have breakfast at their restaurant one morning. It was a decent spread with a mix of Western and Chinese options. While it wasn't the most extravagant buffet I've ever seen, the quality was extremely good, and the setting was pleasant.
I have been to many hotels/resorts, I can say the hospitality at this place is what keeps me coming back and recommend the place to all my friends. Thank you Francis, Irvin and Stephen and everyone for taking care of me, I truly felt at home here.
Opened in 2022, the Shanghai Zuoting Shangyuan Hotel offers travelers a pleasant stay in Shanghai, whether for business or leisure purposes. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Shanghai South Railway Station located approximately 8km away and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport roughly 12km away. Just a short walk from Hengshan Road Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. This hotel is located near many of Shanghai's attractions including Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Wukang Road and Tianzifang. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. When it comes to Shanghai hotels, the Shanghai Zuoting Shangyuan Hotel is highly regarded for its excellent facilities. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

I use a HEKA smart mattress at home. Recently, my trouble on business trips is that I can't adapt to other mattresses and suffer from insomnia. This time when I went to Shanghai, I specially chose Zuoting Shangyuan with a HEKA mattress. I was very surprised after checking in. In addition to the same mattress as at home, I didn't suffer from insomnia. The other facilities of the hotel are also very good. The boss must understand Feng Shui. The bed is wrapped in a curtain style, which can store wind and air, and it feels very safe. In addition, there are old houses near the hotel, which is very quiet. Let's focus on breakfast. Thank you to the housekeeper Xiao Chen who received us. We were in a hurry to leave at 7:30 and breakfast started at 8 o'clock. Xiao Chen was very considerate and asked the kitchen to prepare breakfast at 7 o'clock. The breakfast was very delicate and the ingredients were very fresh. This hotel is very special. It is completely different from the star-rated hotels I usually stay in. The service here is warm. The only regret is that I didn't have time to eat the vegetarian food of Ye Ye Puti because of time. After returning home, I still miss the breakfast of the hotel. When I have time in the summer vacation, I will definitely bring my children to come again to make up for the regret of not eating the vegetarian food of Ye Ye Puti last time.

Metropolo Jinjiang Hotel Classiq (Shanghai Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street) is located on the northwest corner of People's Square on East Nanjing Road, a Shanghai tourist attraction well known for its overabundant neon and classic art-deco architecture, and South Shanxi Road. Minutes from People's Square Metro interchange home to Lines 1, 2 and 8, the hotel offers a full menu of guestrooms, restaurants, conference rooms, as well as a business center. Though the restaurants seat up to 430 and serve authentic Jing and Hu style cuisines, there are also numerous excellent restaurants in the hotel's immediate vicinity for guests to choose from. The hotel's conference room, business center, superstore and function hall make planning and executing functions and events in the hotel a walk in the park.In addition to the convenient location and great value, this Shanghai hotel offers a bar, massage, karaoke and use of the fitness facilities.

This hotel is located on the corner of People's square on the East Nanjing road. Two minutes walk to station line 1, 2 & 8 which is very convenient and about 15-20 mins walk to the Bund. The lighting on the buildings around the Bund area starts from 6:00 - 10:00 pm where you can get some beautiful shots of the scenery. Staff at the reception desk speak fluent English which is great and you can choose to have morning breakfast there which is average or go out to eat. Wear a good pair of shoes as there's lots of walking and discovery on Nanjing road. Highly recommend it to everyone.

One of Shanghai's most iconic and legendary historical landmarks, the Fairmont Peace Hotel boasts a history that overshadows that of any other hotel in the Far East. With origins dating back more than eight decades, this beloved landmark once served as the social heart of the city and a glamorous playground for the elite.

I’ve lived and traveled around China for 6 years and have been to Shanghai countless times trying many different types and levels of hotels. The Fairmont Peace Hotel is by the far the best I’ve ever experienced in Shanghai thus far. The service at check in was fantastic and friendly and so accommodating. The lady spoke perfect English which helped me a lot and went so far as to walk us to our room and explain some key points. All staff are wonderful and smiling and so willing to help. The room was clean and quiet and had all the modern finishings to make life easy while blended into a beautiful and traditional style. The Jazz Band is a must see and the small museum is lovely. The Phoenix Restaurant produced some delicious food. Overall I cannot stop singing the praises of this hotel. Also location is fantastic for tourists. Right on the Bund and close to subway stations and taxi pickup points if needed.

The Donghu Hotel is a hidden gem in the Xihui district of Shanghai. The rooms have an old world feel and are very clean and comfortable. The perfect location to wander and admire the architecture of the old French Concession. Plenty of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants nearby and a quick taxi downtown. The bed was also the most comfortable bed I have slept in in any hotel.

An Art Deco masterpiece dating back to Shanghai's early 20th-century heyday, the Yangtze Boutique Shanghai was designed by Li Pan, a popular Chinese architect. Even in 1933 when the hotel was completed, its central Shanghai location in People's Square was a sought-after address, which today enjoys convenient access to all parts of the city with Shanghai Metro Lines 1, 2 and 8 from the hotel as well as popular attractions including Nanjing Pedestrian Road, People's Park, Raffles City, the Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Grand Theatre also nearby. This Shanghai hotel offers a grand ambience of stained glass, modernist wall carvings and elegantly carved staircases mixed with traditional Chinese gateways and a modern take on traditional Chinese painting.Guests can take in the throbbing heart of Shanghai from private balconies or retreat to the comfort of guestrooms elegantly decorated in a style befitting the iconic building. All bathrooms offer both bathtubs and showers. Chinese cuisine can be enjoyed at the hotel's restaurants. The hotel may be historic, but the modern fitness room keeps guests on-the-go in shape with free weights, machines and treadmills.
DDOOLYDOOLS2025.01.04
Very central hotel close to shopping malls, the subway and the Bund. Room was perfect; clean spacious and had a great view from our cute balcony. The service was ok. The staff did their job but we don’t feel anyone went ‘above and beyond’ like they do in other hotels that we have stayed at (just a personal opinion and perhaps we have been spoilt in other locations). Afternoon tea was good. Breakfast was so so but they did make a bowl of noodles.
The Shanghai Hengshan Group Moller Villa Hotel (Shanghai Hengshan Male Bieshu Fandian) is a castle-like villa hotel located at the intersection of Shaanxi Road and Yan'an Road in Shanghai. It was founded in 1927, completed in 1936 and served as the residence for merchant Prince, Eric Moller. Legend has it that Moller commissioned this unique northern European Norwegian style villa to be built after his daughter had a dream where she saw a castle like those in Hans Andersen fairy tales and sketched it. As it turns out, this is not true, Moller was a wealthy Sweedish British businessman who took over the family shipping business and built the house for his family of six and their pets. After the Mollers left Shanghai in 1950, the villa was occupied by the Japanese, an espionage agency, was used as the site for a corruption investigation and on and off as a hotel. In 2009 it was re-opened again to guests. This Shanghai hotel has 43 authentic European-style luxury rooms and suites that come well-equipped with satellite TVs, high-speed Internet access and mini bars. The restaurant and bar offer excellent Western, Chinese and Japanese food and the coffee shop offers drinks and great views of the 2,000 sq m (2,392 sq yd) garden. Guests can find in the garden bronze statues of Moller's race horse, Blonic Hill (said to have made him a lot of money), and his dog.The banquet hall and conference rooms have various services making them a sound choice for business receptions and meetings. A business center is also available, along with free parking and a ticket office. When it comes time to relax, guests at this Shanghai hotel can use the fitness facilities, get a massage or venture to the nearby commercial centers, the Bund or other parts of the city via the convenient metro stations.

Extremely beautiful hotel. My fiance booked this hotel for us because he was proposing to me in SH. He wanted us to have a cozy and romantic stay and this place was perfect. The breakfast is great as well! My favorite part was the cat who likes to sit by the main gate. He’s friendly and always wanted love!

RRoland Heinrich BauerThe hotel is situated with a view towards the Suzhou creek and the Huangpu river. I had a river view apartment with a great view to this scenery and the Pudong skyline. The windows in the room open to a small degree, which is great to get fresh air and also to video the scenery. I had a 360 degree camera, which shot great views. The service in the hotel is beyond expectations in terms of friendliness and support. This was the best I ever experienced. The breakfast area is on the 2nd floor with a great view as described above and an international menu, which did not leave a wish open. Great hotel, I will come back.

LLiuxiaoxiangThe room is very clean and tidy, and the location is good. It is in the ancient town and is a riverside room. There is a small balcony where you can enjoy the scenery. The boss is also very welcoming. I will stay here again next time.
GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay of 6 nights. The staff are very attentive, and even left us a few more bottles of water after noticing that we had finished our purchased bottles. The highlights include the grand architecture of the hotel, its garden, and the facilities that include gym, pool, bath and sauna. We will be back when traveling in Shanghai.
GGuest UserThis hotel was recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint. It’s a hotel that has hosted many government leaders and royals.
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The furnishings were classic and elegant.
Close to bars, restaurants. The Bund area was only a short, cheap Didi ride away.
Breakfast was included and the choice extensive.
SSorinGLocation, location, location. Close to everything, like… EVERYTHING. I don’t think you can get a better location than this one in Shanghai.
About hotel: this feels premium, it’s old, you can feel the history in this place, it’s actually an iconic place in Shanghai.
Room: when I entered in the room my first thought was “Nixon was here”, you’re just feeling like in a premium hotel from ‘70s. But there is also a big LCD, and the toilet is next gen, with leds and everything, opens itself when close by and so on.
Breakfast: has pretty much everything, asian and continental. Shanghai was my last place in China and after wandering in various places I was longing after a good continental breakfast; funny thing is that I started to prefer also Asian food in the morning lol; fish dumplings are really good here tbh.

TTJPianoThe hotel is directly across the street from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, in the old French Concession, thus both the hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, historical and charming. Everything is clean, the service is helpful with some English skills, and the breakfast is good.
GGuest UserVery good check-in experience, the attitude of the service staff is very good. I need to check in early when I bring my mother to a nearby hospital to see a doctor. I can't wait for the vacancy. A female manager is very friendly and helps to arrange the room. My parents are very happy and let me write a good review!
The western architectural style, the interior decoration is also very characteristic, the room is also a bit nostalgic, the equipment is relatively old-fashioned, but it can be used, clean and hygienic. Very cost-effective hotel~
